Gyoza are very versatile you can pan-fry, steam, boil or deep-fry them, or simply add a couple to your noodle soup. These dumplings also freeze well in zip-lock bags. This Japanese Gyoza recipe is my mothers', and it's a traditional, authentic recipe. Juicy on the inside, a golden brown and crispy base, these are made in a skillet and are one of my all time favourite Japanese dishes!

Instructions to make Gyoza:
  1. Sprinkle some salt to the chopped cabbage. Wait until 10 minutes and remove the excess water.
  2. Mix the minced pork and everything else.
  3. Put the mixture in the wrap.
  4. Heat the oil, pan fried the gyoza, then pour a little water to semi-boil semi-steam for about 7 minutes. (I added sesame oil when steaming process)
