Musakhan is an Arab dish originating from Palestine. This dish contains roasted chicken baked with sliced onions, sumac, allspice, saffron, and fried pine nuts. All these ingredients are served over taboon bread which is a very famous old Palestinian bread that is cooked in a Taboon oven. Repeat with remaining bread and topping.

- Get a baking tray ready dip all the bread at the sauce then place on tray spread the onions and chicken on top baked at 400 degrees for 10 minutes then broil for 5 minutes keep your eyes on it

OR Do the same but place the bread, onion and chicken in a deep round casserole (oiled). Continue with next layers of bread, sauce and chicken and end with a bread layer, sprinkled with sumac. Traditionally, musakhan uses Palestinian taboon bread, but I used Greek pita bread here. To assemble flatbreads, dip the edges of each bread in the oil on the surface of the onion mixture, you want the edges moistened so they don't burn under the broiler. Work in batches, a couple of flatbreads at a time.
